There’s a coaching technique called “The Five Whys.” You ask “Why?” five times to get to the root of what you really want.

“I want a new job.”
Why?
“Because I’m unhappy.”
Why are you unhappy?
“Because I don’t feel valued.”
Why don’t you feel valued?
“Because my contributions aren’t recognized.”
Why does that matter to you?
“Because I need to know my work makes a difference.”

Ah. NOW we know what you truly want: meaningful impact. Maybe a new job provides that. Or maybe you can find it where you are.

Today, with the number 7, ask yourself “Why?” until you hit truth.

How to Move Through Today

• Get clarity: Take some time to stand in archer pose and breathe. Really get your vision clear—for next week, next month, next year. That clarity helps you step toward wherever you want to go.

• The number 7 applies challenges: The number 7 understands everything. And from that understanding, it wants to understand MORE. So it has to ask the question: But WHY? Why do I want that? Why? Why do I want that?

• Ask “Why?” over and over: Just ask that question over and over again. So you go deeper and deeper and deeper within yourself to find the answers—real answers—from your soul.

• All-or-nothing focus: The number 10 is this all-or-nothing. You see, not “I focus or not.” You do it or you don’t. Today, FOCUS. Give it your full attention.
