A student once asked a wise elder, "How do I know if I’m making the right decision?"

The elder smiled and picked up a stone. He held it out over a well and let it go. The stone sank instantly, without hesitation. "Decisions should be like this," he said. "When your heart knows, it knows immediately. If it’s not a clear yes in five seconds, it’s a no."

The student frowned. "But what if I need more time?"

The elder chuckled. "Then you are choosing with fear, not clarity. Deep down, you already know the answer."

How often do we delay decisions, waiting for certainty that never comes? If your gut tells you something isn’t right, trust it. If you feel a pull towards something new, follow it. Clarity isn’t complicated. It’s just that we often don’t trust what we already know.
