October Numerology Forecast: Navigating Energy, Leadership and Inner Balance

OCTOBER NUMEROLOGY FORECAST
The month of October brings an energy upgrade to the planet that will have a positive effect on those with a strong nervous system. When electrical energy is contained, channeled, and has proper insulation, great things can happen. If the wires are frayed or worn out, there can be problems with handling the increased voltage. The health and vitality of our nervous system is a great indicator of how we act under pressure. Will our actions reflect our higher nature, or will they be impulsive and immature? This is what’s at stake in October of 2026—our capacity to take the ethical high road or the self-serving easy way out.
Number 10 represents the themes of honor, nobility, a courageous fighting spirit, the nervous system, the Radiant Body, and leadership with integrity. We will be witnessing an increased divisiveness within the collective psyche, along with a paper-thin level of intolerance for any difference of opinion. This is where you need to keep your wits about you. When you begin to sense the barometric pressure of someone’s mood, tonality, and language edging to the extreme, step away. Number 10 is the archetype of the King, the Queen, or the Warrior, and all these archetypes hate to lose. A question you can ask yourself when bordering on the cusp of confrontation is, “Is it worth it—and can my nervous system handle this?”
If not, create for yourself what I call a linguistic Thai Chi maneuver. Saying something like, “Wow, sounds like you’ve really got your mind set on this, and I can respect another person’s boundaries. Be well, (glancing at watch or phone) —- just noticed I need to get going now.” Allow yourself to physically break-away from ascending antagonistic language or behavior.
Because of the double 10’s (month and year, 2026 = 10), many people will be feeling frustrated by an overall lack of effectiveness and not being heard. Within the scope of someone’s mind it can start with, “I’m screaming at the top my lungs and no one hears me,” and then suddenly shift to, "Now you#ll notice me!” The Warrior archetype likes to fight, and your ability read body language will be helpful. You can often “see it coming” through someone’s posture and facial expression—a tightening of the jaw, squinting of the eyes, and shoulders leaning in are all precursors to a “winding up” energy that’s got to go somewhere! Just don’t let that somewhere be you.
Okay, after all that somewhat scary stuff, let’s look towards solutions for October. The crux of the situation lies in the Base calculation, which is the number 20 (Base is month of 10 + year of 10 = 20). Twenty is the number 2 amplified by Zero, and Zero is a very powerful number in the science of Numerology. It can amplify for better or for worse, and what will determine the positive or negative polarity is your consciousness. The themes of the number 2 in the positive polarity are cooperation, alignment, win-win, harmony, and mutual respect. However, when number 2 goes negative it is disruptive, coercive, immature, and reckless. Hmm, quite the disparity there.
As circumstance and the environments allow, it is important for each of us to strive to create harmony and balance. Whether in your relationship, work environment, neighborhood, or parent-child dynamics, allow for open dialogue without judgement. Asking someone a question like, “What is the most important emotion you are feeling right now?” can help to pinpoint where to look for answers. Working on just one problem at a time is best, otherwise it can get into a cascading calamity of, “Let’s go over everything that’s wrong with you, and my life!”
Small effective steps are best, while giving space (as in days) for people to assimilate the dialogue. Everyone is going to need a little extra breathing room.
Speaking of breathing room, that leads directly to our meditation of the month. We need to strengthen our nervous system and inner vitality, and your best bet is the “Balancing the Nervous Energies". This simple yet powerful practice reduces stress and brings a balance to your “fight or flight” response. You are then effectively present in the moment, and can calculate the next move to your best advantage.
There is a positive counter-balance to the negative intensity of the number 20, and that rests in the Heart calculation. The Heart number for October is a 9, by way of 18 (Heart is month of 10 + Gift of 8 = 18 = 9). Number 9 in the positive polarity is smooth, subtle, and sophisticated. It is the most intuitive number and can border on psychic ability. Quiet the mind, and then ask yourself the question, “What does my heart have to say about this?” Sorting out your personal boundaries now will lead towards a smoother transition into the new year (Yes, it’s not that far away!). October is the time to cut loose the dead weight of burdensome and dead-end relationships of any nature. This does not mean that you should throw overboard anyone who is occasionally difficult, it just means that if someone is a perpetual drain you must protect yourself from letting them sink the ship. Conscious dialogue can be an intermediary step, and if things don’t improve from there, take a decisive move forward.
Another positive aspect of the Heart number for this month is that the number 9 is by way of Significant number 18. Significant numbers are the higher octave of the reduced digit, and 18 is the archetype of the Humanitarian. In response to the increased chaos on the planet, many people will be stepping up to answer the call. This is also how you can indirectly meet people of a similar spirit and mindset. Going shoulder to shoulder with others to help in an emergency is called “rescue bonding.” These connections can last a lifetime.
Let’s take a look at a few more ideas to help our health and vitality. Your nervous system and immune system are two of the most important components to navigating the days ahead. Ginger tea, celery juice, and cold-pressed coconut oil can help to support and nourish the nervous system. The essential oil of lavender contains Linalool, which is a compound that interacts with brain pathways and neurotransmitters to help promote relaxation. Cedarwood is said to reduce hypervigilance, and Vetivert is called the “Oil of Tranquility” because of its overall calming effects. An important note—essential oils are only applied to the skin, and not ingested internally.
Our immune system needs extra care these days as well. Vitamin C can reduce inflammation and fight harmful bacteria. Raw onion chopped into a salad promotes good digestion, and will also help to neutralize toxins. There are many approaches to supporting the immune system, so pick what feels right to you and don’t overdo!
In Japan there is a practice called Shinrin-Yoku, which means “forest bathing.” Walking through a pine forest reduces stress and allows you to inhale phytoncides, which are natural microbial oils plants release to protect themselves. Inhaling these natural scents supports our immune system and relaxes the mind.
These are the days, a uniquely accelerated time of growth, evolution, and change in our world. Fostering and holding fast to a space of comfort is essential to maintaining our equilibrium.
Know when it is safe to boldly step forward, and when to retreat to your personal sanctuary. Keep your music, cozy foods, mantras, pets, and sources of rest and inspiration close at hand. Keep the bonds of love and connectivity strong, and you will always find a way to weather the storm.
In this October, the month of Guru Ram Das’s birthday, may you be healed of your troubles by the radiance of a Saint who blessed all whom he met. Peace to all, Light to all, Love to all.
